Kidneys and Urinary Tract

What is it for?

This exam examines the right and left kidneys, the ureters, and the bladder. It is ordered when there is a strong suspicion of kidney stones or bleeding identified in the urine test.

What can he detect?

Calculi (stones), cysts, tumors, hydronephrosis, congenital malformations, megaureter, bladder stones.

What is the importance of diagnosis?

Renal ultrasound is essential for detecting these pathologies, allowing faster and more effective treatments. It also helps monitor chronic conditions and guide the doctor for additional tests, if necessary.

What is PREPARO?

Take 4 glasses of water 2 hours before the exam.

Do not empty your bladder until the examination is performed, unless your doctor allows you.

Obs: Pacientes em uso de sonda vesical deverão fechá-la 1 hora

antes da realização do exame.
